Such a Caring Team

I went to Gouverneur Dental with a mouthful of neglected teeth that was so bad that I had to hold my hand over my mouth when I talked to anyone. Can you believe I was that embarrassed? Right from my first phone call I felt like it was the right place for me. When I arrived, the girl at the desk knew it was me even before I checked in and told her my name! She helped me with my insurance stuff and made sure that someone took me right in when she had my file ready. Hardly a wait at all!! (Try that at another Dr.'s office.) I met Dr. Day briefly and he listened to me to learn what I really wanted. His girls took digital x-rays that came right up on the computer screen next to me. Way more comfortable than the old plastic kind with sharp corners that cut your mouth open. In no time at all, they had all the x-rays done and my teeth marked on the computer screen for the doctor to see. He was very gentle and quite thorough. He used a real cool camera inside my mouth to inspect each tooth more carefully and discovered some things that would have been missed otherwise. Most impressive was that Dr. Day explained my options for each tooth and didn't force me to make choices I was not comfortable making. He explained that he works for me, and would follow my wishes but wanted to make sure that I was making informed choices. Quite frankly, I began to get scared about how much all of the work was going to cost, because there was alot. The girls reassured me that there was nothing to worry about since I could even get an interest free payment plan arranged before I left! Here I am now, several visits later and can't stop smiling, when I remember before talking with my hand over my mouth. Dr. Day is a very good dentist, and he even called to see how I was doing one evening after I had some major work, just to see if I was feeling ok. I have told all of my friends about Gouverneur Dental and now don't want anyone else to miss out on the opportunity to go somewhere and find professionals that care so much about their patients.
